SNL Season 38: Funniest Skits So Far…Part 2

ok so I didn’t post this immediately following Part 1 (which you can read here). But that’s alright. I still got it in before tonight’s episode staring J-Law and The Lumineers. By the way, have you seen the promo’s for tonight?

Jennifer Lawrence SNL Promos

Looks promising!

Anyway, here were the parameters I set in place for the lists:

1. It can’t be a reoccurring character or sketch

2. It can’t be a digital short

3. It can’t be a Weekend Update Segment

Part 1 covered the “OH I REMEMBER THAT” FUNNY. Now, for the list you’ve all been waiting for. Here are the funniest skits so far this season:

Ryan McDermott or Dermit Mcadonald (Jamie Fox) – this skit was actually called “Dylan McDermott or Dermot Mulroney” and I had to look it up to make sure I got the names right. The ones I came up with we’re waaaay off. But this game show was hilarious. Even funnier that Dylan and Dermont were in on it. SNL usually produces great game shows. And this is one of them. Enjoy these next 5 minutes as you can check it out in the link below…
The Royal Ah-hem (Martin Short) – Only Martin Short could have sold this sketch the way he did. What started out a slow skit quickly turned into a classic with just a few short lines. These one-liners continued thought the sketch and  almost caused Bill Hader to break character numerous times. A surprise appearance by Fred Armison’s popular “ghetto queen” at the end topped off an already deliciously funny couple minutes.
Puppet Class (Seth McFarlen) – Classic Bill Hader doing classic Bill Hader things. I could take another 5 minutes of this sketch. Soooo funny.
Maine Justice (Jaime Fox) – The last half of the Jamie Fox show was pure gold. In what is probably my favorite sketch of the year, Jason Sudekis shows why he is one of the funniest cast members to date. Sudekis has a ton of fun with this one and has the entire Studio 8H rolling. Including me on my couch. A cameo by the one and only Charlie Day added to the confusion and hysteria that was MAINE JUSTICE!
So there you have. My list of funniest skits so far this season! Agree? Disagree? Let me know in the comments!
Oh, and one more thing…
